☆ I was able to feel the summer heat once again. It rained a week ago and I told myself "Argh! I can't observe the stars if it rains! I hate rain!", but now I wish it rained. Even though the weather was hot, the stars still seemed to remain the same. SWR today is about the Great Diamond. It's neither a star or constellation. It's an asterism. I explained about asterism before so if you don't get it look for tag asterism or google it. ^^ The Great Diamond is shaped like diamond. (Well, the name couldn't be clear enough, I would say "duh?~") The Great Diamond is composed of 4 stars; Spica of Virgo; Arcturus of Bootes; Denebola of Leo; and Cor Caroli of Canes Venatici. Denebola is a star that is placed as the tail of a lion. Canes Venatici may sound unfamiliar. Translated, it means hunting dogs. The Great Diamond covers great deal of area in the sky and it is really easy to spot because the stars the make up the Great Diamond is very bright! Talking about diamonds, I wish I had one... T^T tough luck. That's all for SWR ^^
